Hoyt Defiant 34
One of the things I like about my job (okay, I like everything about my job) is that I get the opportunity to test and evaluate products before they are readily available. One of those opportunities popped up when my new Hoyt Carbon Defiant 34 arrived. It didn’t take long before I was getting it set up and shooting it in my basement.
Built with the super tough Ultra Flex Limbs and powered by the new DFX Cam and a Half system, the limbs and cams work together to create an incredibly stable killing machine.
At full draw, the Carbon Defiant 34 cams and limb combination create a longer axle-to-axle which allows for better head position and a more stable shooting platform.
At 34 inches axle to axle, the Carbon Defiant 34 is very steady but because of the way the Ultra Flex Limbs
Hoyt pro defiant 34
The first thing I noticed about this bow was its mass, or lack thereof. It’s not a surprise, I know, but it’s something that always strikes you with Hoyt’s Helical Flex Tune Carbon Riser technology. This hand-laid, hollow-carbon design creates a riser that is not only light, but extremely strong, resistant to the amplitude of oscillation often found in an aluminium riser, and, as a bonus, the carbon is warm to the touch on a cold November day.
